Synopsis

Through the intimate stories of three American families, we grasp that childhood and high school sports are still the bridge to attaining the American Dream… for the child as well as the parent. Is it worth it?

Sports play an enormous part in the American social fabric. More children than ever are participating in competitive sports. Sports can help achieve their athletic dreams, help with their academics, teach how to deal with adversity and failure, learn to succeed through hard work and dedication and of course how to have fun. The film looks at several different individual and team sports in America: from Boxing, Hockey to the girls AAU basketball. The film examines family relationships between mothers and fathers and sons and daughters. We look at their joys and struggles by exploring how sports play a part in their American dream.
